Our research program covers four major themes.
Health services research, which covers such topics as: dissemination and implementation of evidence-based interventions, quality of health care, cost-effectiveness, clinical decision making, program evaluation, and population surveys.
Treatment effectiveness research, which covers such topics as: treatment efficacy, treatment process, double diagnosis patients, and patient-treatment matching studies.
Basic psychobiological research, which covers such topics as: the psychobiology of craving, neurocognitive deficits associated with pathological gambling and addiction, neurotoxicity of ecstasy and other psychoactive substances, and psychological factors relevant for successful treatment process and treatment effectiveness.
Miscellaneous research, which currently covers such topics as: the forensic aspects of addiction, coerced and prison-based treatment.
